About Us: Daanaa is a Vancouver-based fabless power electronics and semiconductor company on a mission to revolutionize power electronics in applications operating at and below 1,500 Volts (1.5 kV). We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Finance & Operations Intern to support our finance team while gaining exposure to the systems, tools, and processes that help a technology company operate effectively. This role combines foundational accounting and operational responsibilities with hands-on experience using digital tools, spreadsheets, and data organization practices commonly used in modern business environments. This internship is designed for an early-stage university student interested in business, finance, operations, or technology-enabled workplaces. The successful candidate will develop practical experience in financial administration, operational coordination, and technology-supported business workflows.
This is an 8 month internship starting in September 2026 and ending in April 2027. The salary range for this role is between $20-22/hour depending on experience.
What you’ll be doing:
Financial & Accounting Support Assist with basic accounting and bookkeeping tasks including data entry, expense categorization, and simple reconciliations. Organize invoices, receipts, and supporting documentation using digital filing systems and shared platforms. Support the preparation and maintenance of accurate financial and administrative records. Learn and follow internal financial processes, workflows, and controls.
Data & Digital Tools Support Use spreadsheets and business software tools to maintain and update financial tracking information. Assist with organizing and reviewing operational and financial data for accuracy and completeness. Help identify missing information, inconsistencies, or data-entry issues. Gain exposure to how finance teams use technology and data to support reporting and decision-making. Support simple process improvements related to organization, tracking, and workflow efficiency.
You should apply if… Currently enrolled in a university or college program in Business, Commerce, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. Comfortable learning new software tools and digital systems. Basic familiarity with spreadsheets such as Excel or Google Sheets. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Reliable, coachable, and willing to take initiative on clearly defined tasks. Positive attitude and willingness to support both administrative and operational work.
