Job Title: Management Accountant Salary Range: CAD$85,000.00 – CAD$110,000.00 Working Type: On-Site
PURPOSE OF ROLE Work in an amazing new factory, with the world’s biggest retailer and in an international business in a highly customer focused environment with regular contact with the customer’s finance and commercial teams. This role will focus first and foremost on Bill of Materials and the ERP systems used in our financial process. In addition, it will provide financial analysis (Power BI), assist in budgeting and prepare financial reports to aid the business in its decision making to achieve short and long-term goals and improve company performance. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES Understand, monitor and influence decision making on site operational performance. This includes reporting on all aspects of standard costing including yield, labour, bill of material performance and overhead performance with the site management team. Actively suggesting improvement ideas and ensuring all information is current and up to date. Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual management accounts, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow. Maintain and update the product costing information for all products including New Product Development (NPD) and existing product development (EPD) Cost Control and Analysis: Monitor income and expenditure, analyse departmental costs, and identify opportunities to reduce business costs Process Improvement: Oversee financial systems (SAP, Evolve4), reconcile accounts, and support operational teams with financial queries. Analyse & report weekly financial and operational performance to drive decision making. Internal Communication: Present financial information to non-finance staff and liaise between departments to ensure accurate reporting Ad-hoc Projects: Participate in special projects, process improvements, and strategic initiatives
KEY EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS Cost-plus environments desirable but not essential Must have 3-5 years of Bill of Material experience. Must have SAP4/Hana experience. Must have working knowledge, experience preferable, of Power BI Thorough understanding of basic production process both from a production perspective and from an ERP perspective. Excellent Excel skills
