Role Description As an Intern JavaScript Developer at Verify, you will contribute to the development and enhancement of web applications that support secure check verification. This volunteer, remote role involves writing and testing JavaScript code, assisting with front-end interfaces, and supporting back-end functionality under the guidance of senior developers. You will help maintain existing features, debug issues, and implement small enhancements using modern JavaScript frameworks and tools. The internship also includes collaborating with the engineering team in code reviews, documentation, and learning best practices in software development and security-focused web applications. Qualifications Front-end development skills, including JavaScript and experience or interest in modern frameworks. Back-end web development and general software development skills, with a focus on web applications. Familiarity with state management tools such as Redux.js or willingness to learn similar technologies. Basic understanding of web technologies (HTML, CSS, APIs) and version control tools (e.g., Git). Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and ability to follow coding standards. Good communication skills and comfort working remotely within a distributed team. Currently pursuing or recently completed studies in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field is beneficial. Interest in fintech, payment security, or fraud prevention is a plus.
