Accounting Coordinator

We are currently looking for a full time Accounting Coordinator to join our growing team!
The Accounting Coordinator will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day accounting operations of the organization, with a primary focus on accounts receivable, billing, expense administration, intercompany transactions, and financial record maintenance. This role will ensure the accurate and timely processing of invoices, monitoring and reconciliation of customer accounts, coordination of job setup documentation, and administration of employee expense reporting. The Accounting Coordinator will also assist with month-end and year-end closing activities, prepare financial reporting related to receivables and payables, and collaborate with internal departments to maintain compliance with company accounting policies and procedures while contributing to continuous process improvements within the finance function.
Key Responsibilities:
Generate and issue customer invoices accurately and in a timely manner.
Monitor customer accounts to ensure timely payment and follow up on overdue accounts.
Reconcile accounts receivable balances and resolve discrepancies as required.
Investigate and respond to customer inquiries related to billing and payments.
Prepare and distribute customer account statements.
Request approvals and create new jobs based on incoming job requests.
Maintain and update scorecards and follow up to obtain missing information.
Verify and collect required supporting documentation.
Manage employee credit card expenses through the designated third-party application.
Request missing receipts and supporting details and review expense submissions for completeness.
Record expenses and prepare cheques within the accounting software.
Process intercompany invoices accurately and efficiently.
Assist with month-end and year-end financial closing processes.
Prepare financial reports related to accounts receivable and accounts payable activities.
Collaborate with the finance team to ensure compliance with internal accounting policies and procedures.
Contribute to process improvements aimed at enhancing the efficiency and accuracy of accounting operations.
Qualified candidates will possess:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Proven experience in Accounting or in a similar role.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
Experience with Jonas accounting software is preffered
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
