Crane Carrier Canada - Senior Staff Accountant, Pacific Truck in Edmonton, AB is hiring a Senior Staff Accountant to support the finance function for a leading supplier of truck and trailer parts and equipment. We specialize in new and remanufactured brake and drive train components and supply a broad range of aftermarket brand-name products to customers throughout Canada.

Key Staff Accountant Responsibilities:
- Prepare and post general ledger journal entries for assigned accounts
- Perform monthly balance sheet account reconciliations and maintain documentation
- Research vendor credit memos, process returns, and manage related sub-ledger activity
- Review and verify accuracy of financial statements before inclusion in final monthly reporting package
- Assist in financial close periods - month-end, quarter-end, and year-end
- Participate in annual inventory, cycle counts, and periodic inventory audits
- Collect and analyze data to support the annual budgeting process
- Provide financial insight to field operations teams by reviewing store and region-level financials
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
- Perform other accounting tasks as needed
Successful Staff Accountant Candidates Will Have:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting (Required)
- 1–3 years of accounting experience; public accounting experience preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP accounting systems
- Solid understanding of GAAP and financial reporting best practices
- Strong communication, analytical, and time management skills
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines
- Ability to research technical accounting topics and present findings clearly to leadership
Schedule: Monday to Friday 7:30am-4:30pm
- Additional hours may be required at month -end year-end, budgeting, or audit periods
