About The Role

The Payroll Coordinator role at Marriott International is a vital position within the finance and accounting department, responsible for ensuring accurate and timely processing of employee payroll and related financial data. The successful candidate will be involved in verifying payroll figures, maintaining employee records, and supporting payroll-related inquiries from staff and management. Qualifications

High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent required. Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in payroll, finance, or accounting functions. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Excellent communication skills and professional demeanor. Proficiency in computerized financial and payroll systems. Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with integrity. Basic knowledge of payroll laws and regulations is preferred.

Responsibilities

Verify the accuracy of payroll figures, postings, and supporting documents to ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements. Organize, secure, and maintain all payroll files, records, and related documentation in accordance with organizational policies and data protection standards. Input, store, and analyze payroll and financial data using computerized systems, ensuring accuracy and completeness. Prepare, audit, and distribute various financial reports, including payroll summaries, statistical data, and audit reports. Maintain, update, and secure employee payroll records, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality. Review and reconcile punches, hours worked, pay adjustments, and other pay-related information, posting updates to designated records. Process employee paychecks, statements of earnings, and deductions, ensuring timely and accurate distribution. Calculate wages, deductions, and benefits such as insurance, union dues, parking, and retirement contributions, entering data into payroll systems. Respond to employee and management inquiries regarding payroll, tax issues, and benefit plans with professionalism and clarity. Perform batch adjustments and modify basic settings in time clock systems to reflect accurate scheduling and restrictions. Back up transaction files and transmit payroll data according to company procedures, ensuring data security and integrity. Support other finance functions as needed and perform additional duties to contribute to team success.
