Bristol Gate Capital Partners Inc. (“Bristol Gate”) is an independent, employee-owned investment manager based in Toronto, Ontario that uses data science in combination with fundamental analysis to manage concentrated high dividend growth portfolios for advisors, family offices and institutions.

We are looking for a Business Analyst to join our Operations Team (which includes Compliance, Finance, Trading, and Operations). We are seeking a self-motivated individual who will work cross-functionally within the Operations Team and across the firm, supporting daily operational activities while playing a meaningful role in process automation, data integration, and reporting initiatives. This individual will report to the Director of Operations.
Responsibilities Support daily operational activities including reconciliation oversight, transaction monitoring, cash reporting, and exception management Collect, validate, and maintain operational and investment data from internal and external sources, ensuring data quality across reporting, compliance, and finance functions Develop and maintain reports and dashboards in Power BI to support operational monitoring, business decision making, and the needs of teams across the firm including Finance and Compliance Identify opportunities for process automation and support the design, testing, and implementation of improvements using Python, SQL, Power Automate, and related tools Support data integration efforts that connect operational systems and make data accessible to stakeholders across the firm Document business requirements, workflows, and operating procedures in support of automation and reporting projects Leverage LLMs and AI tools to enhance productivity, streamline data workflows, and explore new approaches to operational challenges Work with internal and external technology providers to support operational and reporting initiatives Contribute on firm-wide and departmental projects and other reasonable requests within the individual’s competence, as requested from time to time
Requirements University degree, ideally with a focus on Business, Finance, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field 1-3 years of post-university experience in a Business Analyst, Operations Analyst, Data Analyst, or similar role Experience with Python for data analysis, automation, or scripting Experience using Power BI to build and maintain reports and dashboards Familiarity with LLMs and AI tools (e.g. ChatGPT, Copilot, or similar) and an ability to apply them practically in a business context Exposure to Power Automate, Power Query, or similar workflow and integration tools Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights Experience working with large datasets is an advantage Exposure to SQL for querying, transforming, and analyzing data is an asset Detail oriented and highly organized High-level written and verbal communication skills Proactive, with a high degree of perseverance Ability to work cross-functionally across teams and departments Willingness to explore and embrace opportunities to improve efficiency through technology
