About the role
Our client, a global leading gold capital projects organization, is seeking an experienced Project Controls Coordinator to support a major mining capital program. 🛰️
This is a site-based role supporting the Capital Projects Department, ensuring strong discipline across project accounting, invoicing, contracts, and cost control processes within a high-performance mining environment. ⚙️📊
The ideal candidate will have a great understanding of project accounting, and some experience with contracts and change management.
You will play a key role in maintaining financial accuracy, supporting vendor relationships, and ensuring project controls processes align with strict governance and operational standards. 🏔️
🎗️ Key Responsibilities:
📊 Enter purchase requisitions into SAP and/or JD Edwards 💼 Maintain invoicing systems, processes, and cost tracking accuracy 📉 Review, process, and audit invoices with correct cost allocations 🛰️ Reconcile invoices with service entries and progress payment certificates 🤝 Support contract administrators in resolving invoice discrepancies and overdue payments 🏆 Ensure all progress payments follow authorization matrices and governance rules 📂 Assist with internal & external audit requirements ⚙️ Maintain strong vendor relationships and support continuous process improvement 📊 Support broader finance and project controls tasks as required
🎗️ Your Profile:
🗺️ Post-secondary education in Business, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience) 🏆 3+ years experience in capital projects, mining, or project controls environments 📊 Strong understanding of project accounting, invoicing, and cost control processes 💼 Experience with SAP and/or JD Edwards (strong asset) 🕰️ Familiarity with contracts, change management, and vendor coordination 📉 Strong analytical, organizational, and multitasking skills 🛰️ Ability to manage high-volume invoice processing with strong attention to detail 🤝 Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally 🏔️ Comfortable working in a dynamic mining capital project environment
