A career as a Senior Reconciliation Analyst within the Reconciliations – Capital Markets Operations team at National Bank means acting as a specialist in reconciliations, payments investigations, and operational controls. In this role, you will have a direct impact on operational efficiency, data integrity, and risk management through your expertise in Capital Markets operations, payment processes, and transactional analysis. Your Role Ensure the integrity and accuracy of transactional and accounting data by performing reconciliations for Capital Markets, Wealth Management, and Payments activities. Analyze discrepancies, document findings, and coordinate their resolution through to complete remediation or settlement. Manage Nostro account reconciliations, payment investigations, and payment exceptions while collaborating with internal and external partners. Develop a strong understanding of end-to-end processes, operational workflows, systems, and key stakeholders to proactively identify and resolve issues. Apply operational controls and monitoring practices to ensure the completeness, reliability, and quality of daily activities. Contribute to the implementation and continuous improvement of processes, technologies, regulatory requirements, systems, and operating procedures. Your Team The Capital Markets Operations sector brings together nearly 50 specialists who work in an agile, proactive, and collaborative environment to strengthen operational excellence, support business growth, and continuously improve processes. Within the Reconciliations – Capital Markets Operations team, you will be part of a group recognized for its expertise in reconciliations, payment investigations, and operational risk management. You will report to the Director, Reconciliations – Capital Markets Operations. Our team stands out for its strong collaboration, operational rigor, analytical mindset, and commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes in a fast-paced environment. Tools such as the Data Academy, language training, the Harvard Learning Center, as well as coaching and mentoring support, are available to you at all times. Prerequisites College diploma with 6–7 years of relevant experience, or a bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field with 3–4 years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Strong knowledge of Capital Markets operations, operational processes, and business interdependencies. Experience in reconciliations, payments, Nostro accounts, investigations, banking operations, treasury activities, or correspondent banking processes. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, macros, and automation functionalities. Knowledge of systems such as Accurate, SWIFT, MIDAS, Bankmate, Murex, ISM (T80), CDS, DTC, APS, TBT, Microsoft Office, and Access. Experience working in a complex operational environment with multiple priorities and deadlines.
