This includes researching, analyzing, logging and identification of data and the distribution of Concert royalties to both International and SOCAN Members in an accurate, complete and timely manner. WHAT YOU’LL DO / KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Verification of data received (venue, proof, concert date, etc.) for completeness and accuracy Process incoming NLMPs from members and foreign societies via web portal, cases, and inboxes Creation of concert headers for Licensing department to pursue license fees Research, analyze, identify domestic performances including festivals and online concerts Merging of unidentified works to existing payable/registered works Research of set lists from Internet to process performances with no programming Research and identify unmatched works to payable works on SOCAN databases Review and verify accuracy of matched performances for accurate payments Prepare concert acts for calculation for distribution Assist with integration of concert headers from Entandem Assist in ensuring departmental quarterly processing accuracy is achieved Research and process applicable concert related adjustments Liaise with other SOCAN departments/user groups Communicate with outside stakeholders such as Members or Foreign Societies Proactively advise Team Lead of potential processing and efficiency improvements Other duties, as required WHAT YOU WILL BRING / QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE Computer literacy required: working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Epicor, and DAP Excellent research skills Strong problem solver Knowledge of existing SOCAN workflow Strong aptitude for figures Strong communication skills Strong time management skills to meet deadlines and ability to multi-task Bilingual in French and English is a strong asset, but is not required ACCESSIBILITY & ACCOMMODATION SOCAN is committed to providing an inclusive workplace environment that meets the accessibility needs of employees with disabilities.
