Accounting & FP&A Analyst for Portfolio Company
About the role
Company Description
Fluidconcepts & Design (Fluid) is a Canadian manufacturer of customizable office furniture, a portfolio company of EC Investment Partners (ECP), that is entering its next phase of growth — new product lines, expanding automation, and a financial function being built from the ground up to support it. It’s a rare seat at a company where your work is visible, backed by an ambitious growth plan.
Role Description
We’re hiring a dedicated Accounting & FP&A Analyst to join Fluid’s finance team and report to the Controller. Day-to-day, you’ll own the fundamentals — financial records, reconciliations, inventory and cost tracking — the disciplined, detail-heavy work that keeps a manufacturing business honest.
This is also a build role: you’ll work directly with Fluid’s CFO and Controller to stand up the company’s forecasting, budgeting, and cost analysis capability, with exposure to how a PE-backed business plans and scales. If you want a role that’s equal parts rigorous and formative — grounded in the basics, with a genuine path into strategic finance — this is it.
Qualifications • Experience preparing financial statements, journal entries, and account reconciliations • Exposure to budgeting, forecasting, or cost/variance analysis is a strong asset • Experience with accounting or ERP software (e.g., Seredex is an asset) • Strong Excel skills and comfort using data to build reporting, not just record transactions • Knowledge of GAAP/ASPE and regulatory compliance requirements • Comfortable in a small, hands-on team where scope grows as you prove yourself • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA in progress or completed is an asset • 3–5 years of experience in accounting or financial analysis, ideally in a manufacturing environment
