We are currently seeking a highly organized and proactive Senior Accountant in Corner Brook to support our Accounting & Finance Team. This role plays a key part in financial reporting, analysis, and process improvement across multiple business lines. The successful candidate will bring strong technical accounting knowledge, attention to detail, and a collaborative mindset. Role Description Full cycle accounting including month end and year end close processes, journal entries, invoicing, bank and general ledger reconciliations Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of financial information Support and guide junior accounting staff with daily tasks and development Apply and monitor internal controls and accounting best practices Perform expense and inventory analysis Assist with year-end audit requests and supporting documentation Process, review and analyze payroll, with a focus on discrepancies and taxable deductions Ensure accounting policies, procedures and controls are consistently and accurately applied across the organization Qualifications Strong technical accounting skills, including general ledger management, financial statement preparation, and knowledge of Canadian accounting standards. Proficiency with accounting software, along with advanced MS Excel skills for reporting and analysis. Attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with finance and operational teams. Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; a professional accounting designation (CPA or in progress) is an asset. Experience in automotive, retail, or construction industries is considered an advantage. Demonstrated integrity, discretion, and commitment to maintaining accurate and compliant financial records.
