Role Description The Accounting Support Specialist is a full-time, on-site role based in the Greater Kitchener-Cambridge-Waterloo Metropolitan Area. This position supports the property management accounting team with daily bookkeeping tasks, including preparing and posting journal entries, reconciling accounts, and maintaining accurate financial records for condominium communities. The role involves assisting with accounts payable and receivable, helping prepare financial reports and statements, and monitoring budgets and expenditures. The specialist will communicate with internal teams, and vendors to clarify financial information and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner. This role also contributes to process improvements and ensures compliance with company policies and relevant financial practices. Qualifications Strong Accounting knowledge, including practical experience with Journal Entries (Accounting) and basic bookkeeping principles. Solid Finance skills with an understanding of budgeting, financial reporting, and community financial planning. Demonstrated Analytical Skills to interpret financial data, identify variances, and support accurate reconciliations. Effective Communication skills to interact professionally with colleagues, Boards, residents, and vendors. Proficiency with accounting software and MS Excel or similar spreadsheet tools. Relevant post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience. Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment. Experience in property management, real estate, or condominium administration is an asset.
