Position Summary The Payroll POD Lead provides day-to-day operational leadership within an assigned Payroll POD, ensuring client payrolls are processed accurately, efficiently, and on time. This role serves as a key client contact while supporting Payroll Specialists, resolving payroll issues, and driving team performance. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Ensure payroll is processed accurately and within established deadlines. Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned POD clients. Review processed payrolls and resolve payroll errors and discrepancies. Support Payroll Specialists and provide assistance as needed. Monitor the work of Payroll Specialists responsible for payroll data entry and payroll processing. Assist with payroll calculations, taxes, and deductions. Maintain clear, professional, and consistent communication with clients. Partner with the Quality Control team to process current-year and prior-year voids and correct posted payroll errors. Respond to payroll-related inquiries and service requests. Analyze payroll issues and provide timely, effective resolutions. Collaborate with VMC/VDR Payroll Supervisors to: Review Payroll Specialist performance Identify training needs Support employee coaching and development Evaluate existing payroll processes and recommend improvements. Work closely with the Payroll Manager to: Implement process enhancements Provide feedback on team performance Escalate client concerns when necessary Schedule and facilitate weekly POD team meetings and huddles. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Self-motivated professional with the ability to work independently and maintain accountability. Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment and meet strict deadlines. Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities. Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across departments. Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to tailor messaging to different audiences. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Outlook. Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgment and make informed decisions when addressing complex situations. Education and Experience Required: High School Diploma or equivalent 2+ years of payroll experience Fluent in French/English Preferred: PEO, ASO, and multi-state payroll experience Knowledge of HR Pyramid Knowledge of PrismHR

Requirements
