As an Accounting Manager at Vantage Point, you’ll play a key leadership role within our Accounting, Assurance & Tax Advisory Services team. You’ll work directly with Partners, lead client engagements from start to finish, mentor developing professionals, and help shape the future growth of the firm. Your Role As an Accounting Manager, you are a trusted advisor to clients, a mentor to staff, and a key contributor to the firm’s operational and leadership success. This role combines technical excellence with people leadership and client relationship management. You’ll oversee accounting, assurance, and tax engagements, support and develop team members, and collaborate closely with firm leadership to ensure exceptional service delivery and continuous improvement across the practice. Core Responsibilities Client & Engagement Management Plan, manage, and review accounting, assurance, and tax engagements from planning through completion Ensure engagements are completed accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with professional and regulatory standards Build and maintain strong client relationships through proactive communication and trusted advisory support Develop a strong understanding of client businesses, operations, and long-term goals Identify opportunities to provide additional value and services to existing clients Act as a primary point of contact for client engagements and ongoing advisory matters Operational Excellence Monitor engagement budgets, timelines, and workflow efficiency to support quality and profitability Ensure consistent application of firm standards, templates, and best practices Support the implementation of new technologies, tools, and processes that enhance client service and operational effectiveness Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and process enhancements across the firm Leadership & Staff Development Lead, mentor, and develop accounting staff through coaching, feedback, and support Foster a positive, collaborative, and accountable team environment aligned with the firm’s Mission, Vision, and Values Support CPA students and junior team members through training and professional development Play an active role in onboarding and developing future leaders within the firm Firm Contribution Collaborate closely with Partners on engagement strategy, client service, and operational priorities Participate in internal initiatives, leadership discussions, and knowledge-sharing activities Contribute to firm growth through relationship development, leadership, and strategic thinking What We Value Honesty, Integrity & Excellence – High professional standards, sound judgment, and pride in doing the right thing Respect & Collaboration – Strong relationships built on trust, accountability, and teamwork Leadership & Growth – Initiative, mentorship, and a commitment to continuous improvement Relationships & Community – Long-term client relationships and meaningful community involvement grounded in care and connection Your Path Forward At Vantage Point, Managers play a significant role in shaping both client relationships and the development of the team.
