SCOPE: Reporting to the VP of Finance, the Accounting Specialist is responsible for the fiduciary responsibilities of finance, monthly closing and reporting for the Company. RESPONSIBILTIES: * Ensuring accounting requirements are completely accurate and on time * Documents and substantiate financial transactions by entering account information * Analyzing operational and financial data, investigating variances, identifying business drivers, and evaluating their impact on planned objectives * Preparing meaningful variance analysis commentary for management * Consolidating cost reduction and other continuous improvement activities * Providing assistance in reporting against performance targets in incentive programs * Assisting with the recommendation, development, and implementation of process improvements in support of the operating agenda REQUIREMENTS: * BA in Accounting or Finance * Strong skill in the areas of analysis, problem-solving, organization, multi-tasking, prioritization, communication, and relationship building * Ability to think strategically in a constantly changing business environment and market * Ability to operate with high regard to integrity, trust, and confidentiality * Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word and Microsoft Outlook. WORKING CONDITIONS: The Accounting Specialist spends 100% of the time in an office environment entering and analyzing data, preparing and reviewing reports, working with internal departments and external systems support, and attending meetings.
