Our client, in the real estate industry is seeking a Corporate Accountant to join their team on a 12-month contract assignment. This is a hybrid position, with 3 days per week onsite at the client’s offices in Richmond Hill and 2 days remotely. Responsibilities Month-End and Year-End Close: Complete monthly and year-end close activities in accordance with established deadlines, including bank reconciliations, accruals, prepaid expenses, allocations, and reclassifications. Financial Reporting: Prepare financial statements, supporting schedules, and documentation for assigned corporate entities and balance sheet accounts. Corporate Accounting: Record and reconcile corporate expenses, intercompany transactions, and other recurring accounting activities. Qualifications 2+ years of experience in Accounting, Audit or FP&A. Industry experience is considered a strong asset. Fundamental understanding of generally accepted accounting principles is required. Proficient in Microsoft Excel; experience in VBA and SQL is considered a strong asset.
