Job summary
As a key member of the Restaurant Accounting team, you will support the financial accuracy and integrity of our restaurant operations across all locations. In this role, you will be responsible for weekly and monthly revenue and expense processing, account reconciliations, and the preparation and review of income statements for an assigned group of restaurants. This position is hands-on with financial data, analytical skills, and a desire to grow within the accounting function. Key Responsibilities Prepare and review weekly journal entries for sales, payments, and expenses for assigned restaurants Code and review invoices for Accounts Payable Reconcile POS sales reports and payments prior to uploading into accounting software Reconcile payments and deposits and follow up with Operations to resolve discrepancies Review and code petty cash reconciliations Complete gift card reconciliations Audit monthly inventory submissions from restaurants Perform audits of cash sheets to ensure compliance with company standards and controls Prepare cost variance analyses for restaurant inventory and report significant discrepancies Prepare month-end reporting packages, including income statements and detailed account schedules Complete bank reconciliations Communicate with restaurant managers regarding discrepancies, inquiries, and required corrections Provide additional support and perform other duties as required by the Restaurant Accounting team What You Bring 2-3 years of intermediate-level accounting experience, or enrollment in an accounting-related program or courses Restaurant or hospitality accounting experience is an asset Strong understanding of financial accounting principles Ability to learn and adapt to new accounting and ERP software Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Outlook Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to prioritize tasks and meet tight deadlines Comfort working in a fast-paced environment with frequent deadlines Strong work ethic with willingness to work overtime during month-end Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a small team High attention to detail and accuracy Additional Information Monday to Friday, 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. May require occasional lifting of items up to 30lbs Overtime may be required, especially during month-end cycles Apply now to help ensure accurate financial reporting and support strong operational decision‑making across our restaurant teams.
