Job summary

The Opportunity HGA IFS is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Bookkeeper. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of bookkeeping principles and practices, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. As a Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records for our clients and ensuring compliance with applicable financial regulations. Key Duties & Responsibilities Record day-to-day financial transactions in QuickBooks or other accounting software Enter, manage, and reconcile accounts payable and accounts receivable Prepare and process payroll records for clients Reconcile bank statements and credit card statements Generate financial reports, including profit and loss statements and balance sheets Assist in the preparation of tax returns and financial statements Communicate effectively with clients and other team members to ensure accuracy and timely completion of tasks Stay up-to-date on bookkeeping best practices and accounting regulations Qualifications Post-secondary diploma or certificate in a relevant field (i.e. Bookkeeping, Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance) Minimum of 2 years of experience in full cycle bookkeeping Strong understanding of bookkeeping principles and practices Proficiency in QuickBooks or other accounting software Excellent written and verbal communication skills Detail-oriented and highly organized Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks simultaneously Familiarity with tax preparation and financial statement preparation is a plus
