Job summary
We are seeking an Accounting Clerk to join our team at the Eland Warehouse located in Mississauga, Ontario. Company Background Eland Logistics Inc. is a leader in Supply Chain Solutions dedicated to the green coffee industry for nearly 40 years focused on growing our business. This position offers the successful candidate an opportunity for advancement with a fast growing company in a clean, food-grade warehouse and office environment. We are looking for an individual that is committed to getting the job done, is a team player with excellent communication skills (fluent in English) and takes initiative. This position is based out at our Canada location, reports to the General Manager, and is a permanent full-time position 8:00am to 4:30pm. Duties and Responsibilities * Manually creating Invoices using Excel. * Accounting data entry using QuickBooks. * Accounts payable (EFT and cheques). * Accounts receivable (invoicing) and collections. * Auditing expenses including contract labour. * Communicating with clients, vendors regarding outstanding accounts. * Support general manager and management team. * Performs administrative tasks as needed. * Performs other related accounting duties as assigned. Candidate Requirements * 2+ years in accounting and finance. * Experience in Logistics and Warehousing environment a plus but not required. * College/university education. * Fluent in Excel & QuickBooks. * Excellent typing and computer skills (Outlook, Word). * Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, ability to multi-task and a team player. * Fluent in English (oral and written) with excellent communication skills. * Ability to work independently. * Managerial experience an asset.
