Job summary

Main Tasks Reconcile balance sheets of accounts monthly; Prepare all monthly journal entries for the various companies; Prepare intercompany entries and balance the intercompany at month-end; Prepare monthly financial statements of various companies and consolidation; Ensure all financial data is posted to GL; Analyze actual expenses vs last year vs budget and provide explanation of any substantial variances; Reconcile net margin and net cost to general ledger; Manage fixed assets continuity schedules; Prepare various schedules for year-end auditors; Prepare royalty schedules for payment; Develop and improve processes and keep documentation up to date; Perform financial reports and other accounting tasks; Perform projects upon request; Prerequisites University degree in Accounting or other related discipline; Minimum 3 years of experience in accounting related roles; Excellent knowledge of Excel Working knowledge of Sage is an asset; fully bilingual an asset Must be organized, meticulous, able to work in fast past environment, able to think outside the box. What you’ll do
The Senior Accountant manages the full accounting cycle, including monthly financial statements, balance sheet reconciliations, and intercompany entries. They are also responsible for analyzing budget variances, managing fixed assets, and preparing schedules for year-end auditors.
Requirements
Candidates must have a university degree in Accounting or a related field and at least 3 years of accounting experience. Proficiency in Excel is required, while knowledge of Sage and bilingualism are considered assets.
