As a CPA, your responsibilities will include: · Preparation and review of working papers for compilation, review, and audit engagements, including preparation of financial statements; · Preparation and review of personal, corporate and trust tax returns; · Preparation of tax planning and advisory projects; The successful candidate will have: · Canadian Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation; · 5+ years of experience in a Canadian public practice firm, including experience and training in assurance work and/or tax; · Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with all members of our team, clients, and others; · Strong general familiarity with Windows computers and office technology; · A working knowledge of various accounting software including CaseWare, Microsoft Office, Taxprep, TaxCycle, QuickBooks, and Sage 50 Accounting; · Ability to work independently as well as part of a team and present a professional image in a business casual environment; · Strong problem-solving ability; · Commitment to client service; · Accountability for goal setting and tracking; and · Highly self organized. This is an in person role in our office in Vernon, BC. The pay range for this role begins at $90,000, scaling upwards based on your experience. Requirements
Requires a Canadian CPA designation and at least five years of experience in a Canadian public practice firm, including assurance and/or tax experience and training. Candidates should have strong communication, problem-solving, client service, organization, and accountability skills, along with familiarity with office technology and accounting software such as CaseWare, Microsoft Office, Taxprep, TaxCycle, QuickBooks, and Sage 50 Accounting.
