Our client, a well-established and growing organization with multiple operating locations, is seeking an Accounting Manager to support its finance function. This role plays a key part in financial reporting, forecasting, cost management, and providing business insights to support operational decision-making. Key Responsibilities: Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery. Consolidate financial information from multiple business units and analyze overall organizational performance. Support month-end and year-end close processes while maintaining strong internal controls and reporting standards. Oversee cost accounting activities, including inventory valuation, standard costing, and variance analysis. Analyze operational spending trends and provide recommendations to improve financial and operational performance. Partner with operational leaders to monitor key performance indicators, manage costs, and support profitability initiatives. Assist with the annual budgeting process and ongoing forecasting activities. Develop financial analyses, variance reports, and models to support strategic planning and business decisions. Provide oversight and guidance related to day-to-day accounting operations, including payables and receivables functions. Contribute to process improvements that enhance financial controls, reporting efficiency, and overall business performance. Requirements: Professional accounting designation (CPA or equivalent) with a strong foundation in financial reporting and accounting principles. Experience auditing or supporting finance functions within an operational environment, including exposure to costing, inventory management, and financial analysis. Ability to lead budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis activities within a complex or multi-location organization. Prior experience in public accounting, audit, or assurance services is considered an asset. Strong technical aptitude, including advanced Excel skills and experience working with ERP systems and financial reporting tools. Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical capabilities, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
