A growing and dynamic organization is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Project Accountant to join its finance team. This role will support the financial management of multiple projects by overseeing budgeting, cost tracking, forecasting, invoicing, and financial reporting. The ideal candidate is highly organized, collaborative, and experienced in project-based accounting environments such as construction, engineering, infrastructure, renewable energy, manufacturing, or professional services. Key Responsibilities Manage financial reporting and accounting for multiple active projects Monitor project budgets, costs, commitments, and profitability Prepare project forecasts, variance analyses, and cost reports Support month-end and year-end close processes related to project accounting Track project expenditures, accruals, and work-in-progress (WIP) schedules Review contracts, purchase orders, and change orders for financial accuracy Coordinate progress billings, invoicing, and revenue tracking Partner closely with project managers and operational teams to provide financial insights and support decision-making Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting standards Assist with audits and financial reporting requirements Identify opportunities to improve processes and reporting efficiencies Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 3–5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in project accounting Experience in project-driven industries considered an asset Strong understanding of job costing, budgeting, and financial reporting Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP/accounting systems Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills CPA designation or pursuit of CPA is considered an asset Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment What’s Offered Competitive compensation package Career growth and development opportunities Collaborative and supportive work environment Exposure to large-scale and impactful projects We Connect top talent through human connection

Requirements

A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field and 3–5+ years of accounting experience are requested, preferably in project accounting or a project-driven industry. Candidates should understand job costing, budgeting, and financial reporting; be proficient with Excel and ERP or accounting systems; and have strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills, with CPA designation or pursuit considered an asset.
