Our Calgary-based client is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join its Finance team. Reporting directly to leadership, this role supports financial operations through month-end reporting, cost accounting, inventory management, margin analysis, and business partnering. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented professional who enjoys driving insights, improving processes, and collaborating across a growing entrepreneurial organization. Your Success Will Be Defined By Your Ability To Prepare month-end entries, reconciliations, accruals, and financial reporting. Maintain general ledger integrity and support monthly reporting. Conduct variance analysis and explain budget-to-actual fluctuations. Support budgeting, forecasting, cash flow planning, and year-end reporting. Ensure compliance with accounting policies, controls, and reporting standards. Oversee product costing, cost analysis, pricing strategies, and margin profitability. Partner with operations, procurement, and sales to optimize costs and business performance. Analyze financial and operational data, identifying trends, risks, opportunities, and process improvements. Build strong cross-functional relationships and act as a trusted advisor by proactively resolving issues and recommending solutions. Your Strengths Include CPA designation is an asset but not required. 4+ years of progressive accounting experience in public practice or industry. Experience with month-end close, financial reporting, and financial analysis. Exposure to cost, inventory, or manufacturing accounting preferred; manufacturing industry experience is an asset. Strong analytical skills, advanced Excel proficiency, and experience with ERP systems.
