UKG Payroll Lead – Job Description The UKG Payroll Lead is responsible for managing and optimizing payroll operations within UKG Pro. This role ensures accurate, timely, and compliant payroll processing while serving as the subject matter expert for payroll systems and processes. Key Responsibilities Oversee end-to-end payroll processing, ensuring accuracy of wages, taxes, deductions, and benefits Configure and maintain payroll components within UKG, including earnings, deductions, and tax settings Ensure compliance with applicable payroll legislation and manage year-end activities (e.g., T4s, W-2s) Lead and support payroll team members, providing guidance and resolving complex issues Coordinate with HR, finance, and IT teams to support payroll-related integrations and data accuracy Generate reports, perform audits, and identify opportunities for process improvements Support system upgrades, enhancements, and ongoing payroll operations Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, HR, or a related field 5–10+ years of payroll experience, including hands-on experience with UKG systems Strong knowledge of payroll regulations, taxation, and compliance requirements
