Responsibilities Bank and account reconciliations Verify, allocate, post, and reconcile accounts payable and receivable Preparing financial statements, analyze financial information, summarize financial status Manage/coach junior associates and bookkeepers Preparation of tax returns T1/T2 for small and medium enterprises Preparation of GST returns and related fillings Support month-end and year-end close process Communicate with clients and government agencies Ad-hoc duties as required Qualifications 3-5 years of experience in a similar role Post-secondary education in accounting, business, or another relevant field Accounting certification or designation is preferred Good written and verbal communication skills to interface with clients and team members Public accounting experience is a strong asset (including bookkeeping, preparation of financial statements and corporate tax returns) Experience working with accounting and tax software (QuickBooks, CaseWare, Profile, Xero) Strong computer literacy, advanced working knowledge of Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint Bilingual communication skills are an asset (Turkish).
