Summary of Position The Property Accountant will work under the direction of the Controller & Accounting Manager to prepare required financial reporting. We are a private company with more relaxed monthly reporting deadlines. Working knowledge of Yardi Voyager a plus. Responsibilities Prepare financial reporting packages and variance comments. Identify issues, provide strong analysis on monthly reports and clearly communicate key financial issues and trends to management. Complete annual operating cost recoveries. Support the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts. Assist with yearend audit and prepare working paper. Accounting research and preparation of financial statements. Prepare special financial reports as needed. Ad-hoc responsibilities as required. Requirements CPA designation completed or in progress is an asset. Minimum 2 years of experience in full cycle accounting. Minimum 2 years of property management accounting experience. Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency with Yardi Voyager preferred. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Base salary will be from $60,000 to $75,000 plus bonus, defined-benefits pension, extended health and dental, plus other perks including excellent corporate culture and place to learn.
