Job summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Administrator to join our team. As a Payroll Administrator, you will be responsible for accurately processing payroll, maintaining payroll records, and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, collaborative, and hands-on, with strong technical payroll knowledge and experience working in a fast-paced, multi-entity environment. This position requires a strong understanding of Canadian payroll legislation, unionized payroll administration, and UKG PRO WFM systems. Responsibilities: Payroll Processing and Administration Process weekly payroll for hourly and salaried employees across multiple Canadian provinces Ensure payroll is completed accurately, on time, and in compliance with federal and provincial regulations Maintain employee payroll records, including new hires, terminations, salary adjustments, and deductions Support payroll administration within unionized environments and ensure compliance with collective agreements Review payroll data for accuracy and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner Compliance & Reporting Assist with statutory payroll requirements, including WSIB reporting, tax remittances, and provincial filings Support payroll reconciliations and ensure accurate payroll-related general ledger coding Prepare payroll reports and assist Finance with month-end reconciliations and reporting activities Maintain confidentiality and accuracy when handling employee payroll information Systems and Process Support Utilize and maintain payroll systems, specifically UKG PRO WFM Assist in improving payroll procedures, controls, and documentation to support organizational growth and efficiency Identify payroll issues, investigate discrepancies, and recommend practical solutions Qualifications: University degree required in business-related field, PCP certificate is preferred A minimum of 3 years of experience in payroll Asset to have UKG experience The candidate will possess a proactive work ethic Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment Strong communication, organization, time management and problem-solving skills Excellent people skills and a friendly, responsible, service-oriented attitude Ability to work with confidential, sensitive information and maintain discretion Strong attention to detail, analytical and math skills As the Payroll Administrator, you will be handling confidential information.
