Responsibilities:

  • Management of Accounts payable and receivable
  • Monthly invoicing
  • Support in the production of financial statements

Tasks:

  • Support the Finance Director in the production of monthly and annual financial statements
  • Analysis of general ledger accounts
  • Prepare bank reconciliations
  • Prepare monthly remittance for sale taxes
  • Manage full cycle of accounts payable and receivable:
    • Assemble received invoices with purchase order and receipt document or work order
    • Enter on a daily basis in the accounting system payable invoices received
    • Investigate requests for accounts payable (missing POs, missing receipts, approvals of missing invoices, etc.)
    • Prepare weekly cheque run
    • Verify monthly account statements received from suppliers
    • Cash application of payments received from customers (cheques and electronic payments)
    • Prepare and send monthly account statements to customers
  • Monthly billing for all departments (Commercial production, Product Development, Quality Control)
  • Enter inventory adjustments in accounting system
  • Enter bulk and finished products assembly in accounting system
  • Update exchange rate on a daily basis in accounting system
  • Verify and enter expense reports in accounting system
  • Reconcile and enter corporate credit cards in accounting system
  • Prepare Deposits
  • All other Adhoctasks requested by Finance Director

Skills and experience:

  • DEP in accounting
  • 1 to 3 years of experience
  • Bilingual English/French
  • Good knowledge of the office suite
  • Knowledge of Sage accounting system an asset.
