We are presently looking for a candidate to fulfill the position of Controller within our management team.


As a member of our management team, our accountant/controller will take on the responsibility of all financial aspects of the company and reports directly to the company's owners.


  • General ledger and financial statements.
  • Cash-flow management.
  • Insuring conformity and accuracy of accounting procedures.
  • Insuring accuracy of inventory book value for manufacturing and rental inventory.
  • Planning and supervising yearly inventory count.
  • Depreciation and amortization of assets.
  • Month-end procedures including accruals and adjusting entries.
  • Preparing monthly P&L reports.
  • Preparing internal financial reports.
  • Preparing all official reports required by the bank, the RBQ and all governmental entities.
  • Government remittances.
  • Payroll management.
  • Producing all documents related to employee income deductions (RL-1 slip, T4 and others).
  • Insuring accuracy of reports generated by the accounting system.
  • Ongoing compliance assurance.
  • Preparing all required documentation for external auditors related to year end process.
  • Human resource management: CNESST and Labour Standards:
    • Producing CNESST accidents reports and managing employee claims
  • Supervision of the clerk responsible for accounts payable
  • Accounts receivable management (invoicing, account statements and collections):
  • Invoicing of manufacturing and rental contracts.
  • Producing account statements for clients and accounts receivable management.
  • Managing collections.
  • Monthly ledger entries.
  • Banking & foreign exchange.


  • Accounts Payable.
  • Entering invoices into accounting system.
  • Producing checks.
  • Monthly accounts reconciliation.
  • Management and payment of external labour agencies bills.
  • Insuring conformity with CNESST and Revenu Quebec of external labour suppliers.
  • Producing required reports for year end process with external auditors.
  • Producing monthly taxes reports (GST- PST).
  • Answering incoming calls (occasionally).
  • Bank reconciliation.


Skills and technical experience

  • Bachelor's in accounting or in finance
  • 3 to 5 years experience in a similar position
  • Good knowledge of internal controls
  • Good understanding of the manufacturing environment and of associated costs
  • Knowledge and experience with accounting systems
  • Good knowledge of excel

Job type: Full-time, permanent.

Annual Salary: 55,000.00$ to 69,000.00$
