You shall use the systems in place to coordinate and monitor daily deposits, adjustments, and allocating the sums received from clients and distributors accordingly. You will oversee the work of the 13 clerks in your care. You will also manage operations pertaining to client and distributor payments and receipts. More specifically, the Receivable Accounts Supervisor:

  • Plans, shepherds and tracks his unit's operations;
  • Assigns work and ensures it is being performed efficiently and with the utmost quality; also ensures his staff receives the support required to meet deadlines;
  • Ensures all transactions are duly entered for the weekly and month-end close process;
  • Approves the transactions processed by his unit;
  • Checks and validates requests from other departments;
  • Liaises between his unit and the other departments on all matters related to invoicing;
  • Supervises the in-house entry of data from manually-issued invoices and assists the centres with this same task;
  • Fills out employee time sheets, organizes work schedules, and plans for replacement staff during vacations;
  • Ensures the department is being duly supervised in the absence of the usual supervisory personnel;
  • Makes sure he thoroughly understands business processes, proposes alternatives when needed and ascertains how to implement them;
  • Recommends practical solutions for improving operational efficiency and rectifying problems;
  • Helps optimize practices and procedures used within the organization;
  • Drafts training plans and maintains user guides up to date;
  • Stays on top of the latest trends and developments in his field, and where possible, endeavours to incorporate them within the organization;
  • Lends his cooperation or expertise to special projects when required.


  • Bachelor of Business Administration or other equivalent academic background;
  • Minimum five (5) years relevant experience;
  • Two (2) to three (3) years experience managing staff;
  • Solid experience managing employees in a unionized office environment an asset;
  • Bilingual - spoken and written French and English;
  • Sound command of MS Office Suite programs, including Advanced Excel;
  • Knowledge of continuous improvement tools (Lean, Six Sigma) an asset;
  • Gifted and effective communicator, positive leader, organized, team player, self-starter, rigorous.
