About the role

We are looking for a Senior Accountant to join our Finance & Accounting team!

Under the direction of the Vice President of Finance, the Senior Accountant will be responsible for coordinating and overseeing the work of the accounting department staff. They will also perform fiscal and budget analysis, reconciliations, and postings; assist in the development of financial statements, reports and project proposals. Work with company departments to develop or improve communications for reporting of costing, cash flow and financial analysis of operating results. Senior Accountant will perform audits of records and adherence to company policies and procedures.

  • Oversee accounting, administrative personnel to ensure proper adherence to policies and procedures
  • Continuous improvement of AR and AP processes including creating automations
  • Complete monthly bank reconciliations
  • Identify areas of improvement in our ERP system and partner with IT to implement new processes
  • Document new accounting processes ensuring the department stays in line with current SOX controls
  • Manage the external auditing partners, Richter and EY, to ensure audits are completed in a timely manner while also working on testing controls
  • Build custom reports for the finance team analytics
  • Manage mass uploading of entries with data loader into Rootstock
  • Assist in the month-end close by updating balance sheet and P&L support schedules
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual reports for the filing of sales and use taxes, personal property and fixed asset returns.

  • 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in corporate accounting or auditing
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field, or comparable experience
  • CPA designation preferred
  • Knowledge of full accounting cycle
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills, able to use pivot tables, vlookups and a variety of formulas to manage data
  • Experience in process improvement, identifying risks and control deficiencies
  • Knowledgeable with ERP systems such as Microsoft Dynamix and Rootstock.
