As a Payroll Technician you will :

  • Validate timesheets and resolve payroll issues with Managers when there are discrepancies;
  • Enter data relating to employees file (hiring, termination, job changes, salaries, etc.);
  • Produce payroll reports (hours, attendance, etc.);
  • Follow up on missing documents in employees file;
  • Provide customer service for employees in the stores and at the head office;
  • Follow up on social advantages (group insurance, RRSP);
  • Carry out the management of CNESST, medical leave and maternity/paternity/parental leave files;
  • Ensure timely support in the Health and Safety prevention program (inspection audits, various activities, committee, etc.);
  • Support the team in recruitment and internal staff movement;
  • Provide administrative support (follow up, filing, digitizing documents, etc.);
  • Participate in various Human Resources projects.

Requirements and skills required for the position:

  • DEC in Administration (or other related field) ;
  • 2 et 3 years experience in a similar position ;
  • Ability to handle confidential information with tact, professionalism, and discretion ;
  • Proactive, excellent customer service, detail oriented and team player ;
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) ;
  • Bilingual (French and English) written and spoken.
