Position Overview

Première Bobine Inc. is looking for an experienced Head Accountant Corporate for our Montreal office. Reporting to the Controller, the candidate will also work with other members of the accounting department and other departments as well as supervise four Accountants.

Main Responsibilities

  • Supervise the day to day corporate accounting and improve processes;
  • Reconcile accounts monthly to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance;
  • Reconciling sub-ledger to general ledger account balances;
  • Supervise the complete monthly payables cycle for all corporate companies;
  • Review all credit card and expense report accounting;
  • Supervise the monthly bank reconciliations and sales tax reporting;
  • Manage sales tax audit (VAT, TPS/TVQ);
  • Prepare re-bills and fee invoices;
  • Manage development cost analysis and invoicing;
  • Participate in the implementation of internal controls and processes;
  • Prepare documentation for external auditors;
  • Prepare ad hoc analysis, journal entries and reports;
  • Assist with various corporate filings.

Who You Are

  • Experience with PME and multi-companies;
  • Degree in Accounting (Must);
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience;
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in supervision of team members (Must);
  • Detail oriented;
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft GP (Must);
  • Ability to quickly adapt to change in a dynamic and fast-growing environment;
  • Ability to work under pressure;
  • Strong sense of organization, be autonomous, and resourceful;
  • Multicurrency experience (Asset);
  • Experience in the entertainment industry (Asset);
  • Bilingual (French and English – both spoken and written);
