Air Inuit has been providing essential scheduled, chartered, cargo and emergency air transport services to Nunavik and beyond- 24 hours a day, 365 days a year - for over 45 years. Collectively owned by the Inuit of Nunavik, through Makivik Corporation, the airline operates a fleet of 30 aircraft and employs over 1,000 employees in one of the world's most challenging flight environments.

Air Inuit Management and its team of dedicated employees are committed to pursuing their tradition of providing safe, punctual and courteous air service for the growing number of people living and doing business in this enchanting region of Nunavik in Northern Québec.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collection of assigned customer accounts;
  • Ensure payments are made within credit terms;
  • Contact customers verbally and in writing;
  • Discuss and resolve disputed items, as applicable;
  • Review customers' accounts with clients as needed;
  • Review customers' account status with Revenue Manager;
  • Prepare customer A/R list over $10k on a weekly basis;
  • Review A/R aged trial balance prior to closing;
  • Prepare provision for uncollectible A/R monthly;
  • Review credit applications and open new accounts, establish credit limits and identify level of risk;
  • Assign customer numbers and open computer accounts;
  • Advise Air Inuit agents and base managers of new accounts;
  • Other ad-hoc tasks required by the Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum 5 years experience in Credit & Collections;
  • Strong knowledge of accounting;
  • Strong computer knowledge, particularly Excel, Word and Outlook;
  • Dynamic, strong organizational and inter-personal skills;
  • Highly self-motivated, efficient and resourceful;
  • Bilingual, English and French - Inuktitut would be an asset;
  • Responsible and reliable.

REMUNERATION

  • The remuneration package and associated benefits will be in accordance with corporate policies.
  • The work week is Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week.
