The position of Clerk, Payment Application
Permanent, full-time position

Among other things, you will have to :

  • Using the tools available in the PeopleSoft system, determine the payments assigned to him/her based on the pre-established rules, on a daily basis.
  • Create EFT deposits in PeopleSoft using the bank statement available on the bank's website and match with payment advices received directly from customers.
  • Research, reconcile and apply payments that require special attention (Major accounts, centralized payment)
  • Communicate with back-office managers, collectors and clients across the country to obtain missing information needed for payment application
  • Document any errors in the payment application process and communicate to immediate supervisor
  • Enforce business rules regarding all adjustment requests (w/o) and refund requests and return to sender when incomplete.

Requirements

  • DEP or DEC in accounting,

  • administration or other equivalent training,
  • 2 to 3 years of experience in the field of high volume payment applications,
  • Ability to work with the Office suite, particularly Excel at an advanced level,
  • Ideally have worked with an ERP system,
  • fluent in both official languages, oral and written,
  • autonomy, attention to detail,
  • results oriented, team player,
  • ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines.
