Accounts Payable Clerk (temporary)

Position: Accounts Payable Clerk (Temporary)
Location: Montreal, Quebec
Start/End Date: March to December 2023

We are looking for a temporary Accounts Payable Clerk to support our Accounts Payables Department. 

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING | THE ROLE

Key responsibilities include: 

• Set up invoices and payment requests into the accounting system (Workday)

• Monitor progress and contact suppliers to resolve problems

• Research/resolve exceptions

• Respond to inquiries

• Verify authorized approvals on expenditures

• Ensure all recoverable taxes, GST, QST, HST, FET, and VAT are coded to the recoverable accounts

• Update supplier database

WHAT YOU BRING | THE PERSON

The ideal candidate has:

• A DEC in Accounting or a combination of studies and relevant experience

• A minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a similar role

• Experience in a fast-paced, corporate work environment

• Highest standard attention to detail

• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work autonomously

• Bilingualism (English/French), interacting with international providers.

• Proficiency with MS Office Suite
