The finance department of LCI Education is looking for an accounting technician to fill a position at the head office located in downtown Montreal.


  • Process accounts receivable, cash receipts and inter-company billing;
  • Prepare bank deposits;
  • Processing the full cycle of accounts payable;
  • Perform bank reconciliations;
  • Prepare government remittances;
  • Participate in the editing of audit files;
  • Actively participate in the end-of-month process;
  • Ensure the analysis of the balance sheet accounts and the analytical review of income and expenditure;
  • Participate in the budget process;
  • Coordinate various projects and projects with operational managers;
  • Regularly monitor operating costs against the budget;
  • Continuous improvement of accounting processes;
  • Perform other related duties and participate in special projects.


  • University degree in accounting, or Baccalaureate (major asset), or any equivalent diploma;
  • Relevant experience of at least 2 years in a similar position (multi-company environment);
  • Experience in property accounting (an asset);
  • Fluency in French and English (oral and written);
  • Very good knowledge of the office suite, especially Excel;
  • Knowledge of accounting software SAGE (Accpac) (asset);
  • Knowledge of real estate software Yardi Voyageur (asset);
  • Autonomy, initiative and attention to detail;
  • Excellent organizational skills (multitasking, prioritizing, optimizing time, meeting deadlines).
