What will you have to do?

Payroll :

  • Enter, verify and correct the various payroll data for all departments in accordance with collective agreements, the Employee Manual and the various applicable laws.
  • Calculate: wages, retroactive amounts, salary scales, payment of the supplementary unemployment program, deductions at source, various time banks (illness, vacation, accumulated hours, etc.), invoicing of union leaves, etc.; by applying the various working conditions, laws, regulations, agreements and contracts.
  • Process all payroll-related requests from internal, government or other sources.
  • Prepare and verify: payroll reports, employment records, various contributions (union, RRSP, group insurance, etc.), tax deductions in accordance with the various legislations in force and submit the related biweekly, monthly or annual remittances.
  • Analyze and reconcile: different absence files (CNESST, disability insurance, etc.), T4 and Relevé 1 production data, group insurance invoice, etc.

General accounting:

  • Analyze and reconcile general ledger accounts.
  • Assist the Accounts Payable Department: matching, verifying and recording invoices in accordance with internal procedures.
  • Make postings and remittances (DAS) in connection with payroll.
  • Produce bank reconciliation on a daily basis.
  • Participate in the preparation and balancing of month-end (monthly financial statements and other reports) in accordance with internal procedures.
  • Participate in the preparation of monthly financial statements and reports in accordance with internal procedures.
  • Participate in the production of year-end accounting and tax audit files.
  • Produce the computer reports of the various monthly analyses.
  • Participate in the maintenance of internal controls of the various business cycles in order to comply with the requirements of accounting rules.
  • Participate in inventory management

We would like to meet you if you have:

  • Diploma of college studies in Accounting, Finance or any other relevant training.
  • 2 to 4 years' experience in a finance department.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Knowledge of the Microsoft suite, including Excel.
  • Discretion, integrity, honesty and transparency.
  • Analytical and synthetic mind and good judgment.
  • Good organizational skills, attention to detail and rigour.
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Client-oriented and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to set priorities, work with minimal supervision, and under pressure with tight deadlines/frequent priority changes.
