Description

As a team leader in the Finance and Administration Department and reporting to the Corporate Controller, you’ll be required to:

  • Manage the month-end accounting process to ensure timely delivery of the various reports required by senior management.
  • Be responsible for the consolidated financial statements (monthly and quarterly) and ensure the relevance and accuracy of accounting entries.
  • Analyze the monthly financial statements and budget variances.
  • Actively participate in the annual budget process.
  • Lead and coach a team of three accountants and a technician.
  • Write technical memos on accounting positions.
  • Ensure internal processes are continuously improved and that accounting and financial operations run smoothly.
  • Serve as an expert user for the various accounting platforms in a multi-entity and multi-currency context.
  • Help prepare various government and external audit files.
  • Prepare various reports based on the needs of management and the business units.
  • Collaborate on various special projects or strategic files (e.g., implementation of new dashboards, business acquisition, operational integration).
  • Perform any other related duties.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • Certified Professional Accountant (CPA) designation
  • From 5 to 7 years of relevant experience (proficient with the accounting cycle and experience in team management)
  • Bilingual (English and French), both spoken and written
  • Excellent knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
  • Asset: knowledge of the Microsoft Dynamics AX ERP
