The chosen candidate will be based at the company's head office located in Longueuil, steps away from the Longueuil-Université de Sherbrooke metro station.

Role and Responsibilities

Reporting to the Director – Accounting, the Analyst – Consolidation will take on the following main responsibilities:

 

  • Play a key role in the preparation of the company's consolidated monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements comprising of multiple entities in different countries and currencies; 
  • Prepare and review consolidation journal entries;
  • Participate to the analysis and reconciliation of the financial statements accounts under his responsibility;
  • Prepare quarterly and annual notes to the consolidated financial statements;
  • Actively participate to various special projects and prepares analyses when required;
  • Interact regularly with the various business units and other departments;
  • Carry out any other related task.

  • Autonomous and able to learn quickly.

Professional Requirements

  • University degree in a relevant discipline and have a recognized accounting designation;
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar position combined with experience in financial information disclosure of a public corporation;
  • Solid knowledge of IFRS rules, consolidation processes and the related regulatory environment;
  • Knowledge of a consolidation tool, an asset;
  • Proficiency in Excel; PowerPivot, an asset;
  • Experience in managing several currencies, an asset;
  • Experience in a company comprised of several entities;
  • Proficiency in French and English, both written and spoken.
