The chosen candidate will be based at the company's head office located in Longueuil, steps away from the Longueuil-Université de Sherbrooke metro station.

Role and Responsibilities

Reporting to the Controller, the main responsibilities of the Accountant are as follows:

  • Reconcile general ledger accounts, journal entries and end-of-month/quarter/year accounting activities (bank reconciliations, tax remittances, etc.);
  • Participate in the preparation of quarterly and annual financial statements;
  • Complete the accounting cycle of multiple companies;
  • Prepare and codify batches of invoices;
  • Prepare the cheques, have them signed and send them to the suppliers;
  • Process expense accounts and codify them in the accounting system;
  • Perform other related tasks.

  • Autonomous and able to learn quickly;
  • Strong abilities for teamwork and solid interpersonal skills.

Professional Requirements

  • College diploma in accounting or equivalent;
  • Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in a similar position;
  • Experience with the full accounting cycle;
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and data entry;
  • Excellent skills with software in general (ex: Great Plains, Acrobat);
  • Experience in managing multiple currencies an asset;
  • Experience in a public company an asset;
  • Proficiency in French and English, both spoken and written.
