Reporting to the Controller, the accountant is responsible to manage all financial transactions, from fixed payments and variable expenses to bank deposits. Its responsibilities will also include auditing financial documents and procedures, reconciling bank statements and calculating tax payments and returns. To be successful in this role, you should have previous experience with bookkeeping and a flair for spotting numerical mistakes.


  • Analyze, evaluate and interpret appropriate financial and statistical data 
  • Improve financial status by analyzing results; monitoring variances; recommending actions to management
  • Prepare multiple bank reconciliations simultaneously and be able to identify and correct variances
  • Prepare and enter journal entries
  • Maintain accounts and GL analysis
  • Participate to annual audits and tax audits
  • Prepare indirect Government tax reports
  • Protect operations by keeping financial information confidential
  • Participate to month end and year end closing
  • Prepare depreciation and prepaid schedules and journal entries
  • Reconcile AP and AR aging
  • Experience with booking and reversing accruals
  • Reconcile Balance sheets accounts
  • Ad hoc projects


  • Bachelors or DEC degree in accounting, or a related field.
  • 3 to 5 years of pertinent work experience
  • Strong technical skills using Microsoft Excel
  • Experience with an international company using multiple currencies
  • Past experience working in audits, an asset
  • Knowledge of Microsoft D365, an asset
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to prioritize and meet multiple deadlines
  • Good communication skills
