Under the supervision of the Director of Finance, the accounting technician is responsible to support the team in accounting matters. His core responsibilities will be to take responsibility of the account payable and respect the deadlines. He will also offer his support in tasks related to month end and year end.


  • Classify and enter invoices in the accounting software
  • Pair invoices with purchase orders and close orders in the system
  • Check and reconcile supplier accounts and request missing invoices
  • Check invoices (quantity, description, and price) and do the appropriate follow-ups
  • Coordinate the approval of invoices and attach supporting documents
  • Make payments to suppliers on time
  • Issue and send checks ∕ direct deposits
  • Track problematic credits, discounts and invoices
  • Respond to internal and external requests related to supplier accounts
  • Perform bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow
  • Enter and control inventory data
  • Contribute to the preparation of reports
  • Participate in the month-end and year-end files
  • Assist the team in producing financial information on time
  • Manage expense accounts
  • Execute any other tasks required by the nature of this function and according to the growth capacity.


  • DEC in accounting, finance or administration or equivalent
  • 5+ years' experience in a similar position


  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team

  • Excellent learning ability
  • Experience with an accounting software
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel an asset)
