As Accounts Receivable Specialist, you will provide financial, clerical and administrative services to ensure efficient, timely and accurate payment of key accounts clients for Kuehne+Nagel's Northern American region.

Your Role

We are looking to hire multiple Accounts Receivable positions in our office in Vancouver. Applicants for this role must be willing to relocate to Vancouver. This is a hybrid role that requires you to work a few days in the office. At Kuehne+Nagel, we understand well, the role of Accounts Receivables as the fundamental driver for any successful and sustainable business operations. This is why we decided to centralize and optimize our Collections Management function for North America in a new office in Vancouver, BC. From our beautiful new office in downtown Vancouver, a team of over 50 credit and collections specialists take care daily of the risk assessment & credit limits, cash collection & allocation, reduction of Day Sales Outstanding (DSO), reduction of bad debts and credit insurance for the United States, Canada and Mexico. Currently, we have multiple openings for Senior Accounts Receivables Specialists to join our regional Finance Service Center.

Your Responsibilities

  • Assisting with day to day Credit decisions.
  • Responsible for managing the Key Account /Global Accounts .
  • Ensuring compliance with internal accounting controls and policies.
  • Responsible for controlling Credit Excess and maintaining it to a minimum.
  • Coordinating communication and organizing meetings with Key Account Sales Executives / Branch Managers / Department Managers.
  • Liaise with the National Credit team with ultimate escalation of credit situations with external and internal customers.
  • Ensure that credit goals are achieved; and accurate business records and sound bookkeeping procedures are maintained.
  • Develop, analyze and provide reports regularly and as requested.
  • Problem solving, such as Invoice disputes etc..
  • Communicate effectively and promptly to the sales/operations teams and customers.
  • Work independently and as part of a team.
  • Other duties as may assigned to you from time to time by the company

Your Skills and Experiences

  • Must be willing to relocate to Vancouver.
  • This will be a hybrid role.
  • College Diploma or University degree in Business, Economics or similar fields.
  • 1-3 Years of credit or Finance experience.
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proven ability to work under pressure of deadlines
