This position is responsible for the administration of Deloitte’s National Payroll. The Payroll Coordinator is responsible for the timely and accurate delivery of Payroll and related Client Services, including data entry and reporting. This position provides payroll support to all employees and lines of business.

Key Accountabilities

  • End to end processing of company’s payroll in an accurate and timely manner
  • Point of contact for employees on all any payroll related issues
  • Execute all payroll case management activities
  • Complete gross to net pay calculations and payroll balancing
  • Investigate and resolve payroll issues with stakeholders at various operating locations
  • Prepare and submit payroll deductions and remittances as required
  • Prepare and maintain related payroll records and ensure all is up to date
  • Complete payroll reconciliations
  • Provide high quality customer service to all employees and internal stakeholders (ie: Talent Services, Legal, etc…)
  • Perform other duties as assigned

External Posting Qualifications

Qualifications

  • College diploma or post-secondary education
  • Successful completion of Canadian Payroll Association certification (PCP) preferred
  • Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in a large multi-jurisdictional environment
  • Strong knowledge of PeopleSoft Payroll/HRMS and/or SAP a plus
  • Very detailed oriented, able to prioritize and ability to meet tight deadlines
  • Ability to exercise tact and discretion in dealing with sensitive and confidential information
  • Demonstrated willingness to be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multi-task
  • Strong communication, interpersonal skills, customer focus and team player
  • Knowledge of French is an asset
