What will your typical day look like?

As a Consultant, Guidewire Billing Centre Developer Analyst in our Asset Factory Team within our Consulting Practice, you will be responsible for supporting the delivery of our new InsurCloud features and enhancements for our insurance clients. You will be collaborating and working with business analysts, testers and scrum masters / team leads to develop enhancement request by clients, design and implement software components. You will specifically, collaborate and work with InsurCloud product development team members to develop mandatory / suggested product upgrades and enhancements for all clients, be responsible for troubleshooting software codes developing and testing software resolutions in Guidewire Billing Center and reporting progress and design, develop, modify, debug and evaluate complex software for functional areas as well as analyze existing software or work to formulate logic for new complex requirements, devise complex algorithms, and analyze the design and use of complex data sources. You will work closely with the internal managed services teams and external vendors to develop a successful resolution and provide accurate resolution to incoming incidents / defects / problems in a timely manner and in accordance with managed services processes.

Our Asset Factory Team is comprised of a collaborative team of experts who use their hands-on experience with cutting-edge information assets to facilitate successful development and commercialization of assets. Our team, designs, builds, manages and delivers innovative technology and data assets to address clients' needs with disciplined focus on business outcomes.

You will be part of a team that works together to provide 24x7 support for our customers, so we expect you to take turns with your teammates being on-call for after-hours production emergencies.

Enough about us, let’s talk about you

You are someone with:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, IT or a related field with 5+ years’ experience working directly with customers or key internal stakeholders; preference for experience in application managed services Customer support and detailed knowledge and experience of working with the Guidewire Billing Center
  • Advanced exposure and experience with broad technical skills such as Object-Oriented programming (Java, C#, or similar), relational databases (SQL / Oracle), web UI (design and development), XML, application architecture, and operating systems (Windows / Linux etc.)
  • Knowledge of front-end web technologies (JavaScript and AngularJS) or similar with experience reading and interpreting application server thread dumps, database (Oracle / SQL) reports, and other log files
  • Advanced skills associated with software design, modification, implementation and deployment, including object-oriented programming concepts and the ability to create software specification, to contribute technical narrative and to follow software specifications
  • Entrepreneurial attitude with a desire to be part of a new & innovative team
