Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Responsible for all aspects of accounts receivable and invoicing in accordance with established procedures.


  • Collection of customer accounts in accordance with conditions for payment stipulated in contracts and/or net 30 day terms.
  • Collection of holdback with regular follow up's to ensure payments collected.
  • Prepare project close-out documents, warranties, holdback invoice, as-builts, or as stipulated in contract.
  • Preparation of deposit slips and enter data for cash receipts.
  • Ensure credit procedures are followed for new customer accounts.
  • Follow up on disputed files (find explanations for discrepancies in quantities, back charges, etc.) with assistance of the controller.
  • Communicate with the Contract Administrator on extra to contract invoicing and discrepancies.
  • Preparation of month-end reports, including days of credit and Accounts Receivable sub-ledger.
  • Set up of new projects secured in aSa.


  • College diploma in accounting or relevant experience.
  • Familiarity with Word and Excel.
  • Good working knowledge of the Construction Lien Act and CCDC contracts and related documents.
  • Strong oral communications skills for dealing with customers.
  • High level of organization.
  • Methodical approach to data compilation.
  • Sense of discretion.
  • Initiative, resourcefulness and autonomy.
  • Ability to work under pressure, quickly and to interact with employees.
  • Bilingualism (French and English).
