RVA is seeking a highly motivated Payroll Administrator to join their payroll team. The Payroll Administrator will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing and maintaining compliance with payroll law and regulations. The Payroll Administrator will play an important role in maintaining data integrity, solving payroll related issues as they arise, and working with the team to ensure a smooth process within the organization.

Duties:

  • Process accurate salary and hourly biweekly payroll runs for employees across multiple provinces.
  • Organize, collect, and enter payroll information into systems (Deltek and Dayforce).
  • Review payroll transactions entered in the systems including new hires, terminations etc.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate and timely payroll records and reports.
  • Monthly reconciliation of all payroll accounts.
  • Answer employee questions and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Keep up to date with changes in payroll regulations and adjust payroll systems and processes accordingly.
  • Audit payroll records to perform corrections as needed.
  • Verify and adjust year-end T4/T4A's and prepare year-end reconciliations.
  • Timely calculation and remittance of monthly and quarterly Workers Compensation Premiums, WSIB, EHT, and other compensation requirements.
  • Other duties as required.
  • Handle sensitive and confidential information.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of payroll experience.
  • PCP and /or CMA designation or close completion will be considered a strong asset.
  • Bi-weekly payroll experience preferred.
  • Canadian Multiprovincial payroll experience is an asset.
  • Experience processing payroll in Dayforce.
  • Experience with Deltek an asset.
  • Proficient with MS Office, specifically Excel, Microsoft Teams, and Outlook.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
